Say that shit!

It’s crazy how there are more black women missing than there are married.
More black women suffering at the hands of a lover, than actually being loved.

Our attitudes aren’t acceptable
But our bodies will do.
Especially on any other race.
That’s who they compare our natural to.

Expression is equivalent to attitude.
CONFIDENCE makes us too strong.
Education makes us intimidating.
Always doing something wrong.

Some will read this,
And say “it’s not true!”
Never realizing,
They are the few.

They love black women.
Say we are QUEENS.
But don’t get involved,
When their friends fail to be Kings.

So if they are the few,
Us women have to fall in line.
Protect your fellow black woman.
Applaud her time to shine.

Put some action,

Behind your POSITIVE words.

So many women with lost voices,

It’s time to be heard.

Speak your mind sis.
Stand in your truth.
We hear you.
We see you.
You got this.
We got you too.

  1. It’s crazy how almost 60 years after Malcolm X gave his speech “Who taught you to Hate yourself?”, his words are still true:
“The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.”

How do we get the millions of black men in America to realize this and change it?

    1. I think it starts with putting the value back in black women and the two parent household. So many depictions given of what the right family man is and it is never the black man… not enough examples available for young men to feel that it’s “trendy” etc. so we have to start with the people that know better, to do better and then pass it on.
